Michelle Jana Chan: Hitchhiking, Galaxies, and why travel is not bad for the planet

The final Marlburian Monday talk of this academic year, entitled ‘Hitchhiking, Galaxies, and why travel is not bad for the planet’ will be given by Michelle Jana Chan (TU 1990-92) at 8pm on Monday 14th June.

Travel Editor of Vanity Fair and award-winning writer Michelle will discuss some of her poignant travel experiences on journeys around Russia, Uganda and China, sharing personal anecdotes, stirring memories and touching encounters with strangers.

Michelle will also examine what the future of travel may entail once we can move again more freely, suggesting how we will approach our trips differently, even how we might remember them in new ways.
