Keith Porter: Right Place, Right Time

Professor Sir Keith is a leader in the development of the new medical subspeciality of Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine. Sir Keith was extremely grateful for his bursary place at Marlborough and owes his time here to his hugely successful career in Medicine. From a very young age, he was extremely interested in trauma and the College helped him change his career focus from Engineering, as originally planned, to follow his passion for Medicine, with further training at St Thomas’s Hospital in London.

Sir Keith was also the clinical lead for injured soldiers returning to the UK for the last decade, including both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. He was awarded a Knighthood in the Queen’s 2010 New Years Honours list for services to the Military.
