Anthony Inglis Howard-Williams’ (C3 1966-69) second book “A Family of Aviators at War” was published by Pen & Sword in September 2025. It tells the story of the nine Royal Air Force pilots in his immediate family, and includes, father, both grandfathers, uncles, great-uncles and son, most achieving flag rank. The book vividly recounts the part his family played in battles and events from The Somme, via Dunkirk, pathfinding, the Battle of Britain and America’s entry into the war in 1941, to the present day modern air force.
