Sebastian Katkhuda (C2 1985-90), James Phillipson (TU 1985-90), and Dickie Pembroke (B1 1985-90) will set out on a fundraising voyage from the Thames River in London to Milos in Greece. Their mission is to raise money for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) and its Greek counterpart, Hellenic Rescue.

The trio will navigate through the French river and canal network aboard MV Suco, a converted life raft originally part of the scrapped chemical tanker MV Viscaya (1985).

The boat is registered with the Lloyd’s Yacht Club and will be helmed by the vessel’s owner, Sebastian, of Willis Marine, a leading Lloyd’s Maritime Broker. The venture is supported by Lloyd’s of London, Willis Marine and ATL. 

They hope to raise £50,000 and can support their challenge here.
