Olly Eversfield (MM 2016-21) and Cesca Aitchison (MM 2016-21) are on a mission to raise £4,000 to deliver a truck filled with urgent medical supplies to those affected by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Moved by the tragic stories they had heard from the Ukrainian families they supported in 2022, Olly and Cesca were determined to make a difference. On June 16th, they began a week-long journey, driving from West Sussex to Calais, continuing through Germany and Poland, entering Ukraine and concluding in Lviv. This route covers approximately 1,300 miles, leading them into an active war zone from the Polish border.
After completing the journey, they plan to spend two days in Lviv, visiting contacts of the Ukrainian families they had previously aided, delivering supplies to orphanages, and witnessing the impact of the war firsthand. They will leave the truck in Lviv as part of their aid efforts, donated on behalf of the charity ‘Pick Ups for Peace.’
