Robert Land (PR 1944-48) passed away peacefully on September 19, 2024, at the age of 94 with his loving family by his side.

He was born to Gordon William Land and Marion Lina King in Kobe Japan on July 13, 1930. With war imminent, his family returned to the UK in May 1939. Educated in England at Marlborough College, he served in the British Army Intelligence services, later earning a degree in Textile Engineering at Manchester University. Robert lived and worked in Latin America for many years before joining the US operations of Dominion Textiles Inc., as Director for Latin America/Asia based in New York in the early 1970’s. He traveled extensively all around the world. Retired to Countryside, Naples FL in 1992, Robert kept busy as a consultant in international business with extensive interests in Latin America and Asia, as well as participating in the affairs of the Countryside Country Club community. He was also an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife Joyce of 41 years, daughter Monica, son Gordon, stepdaughter Diane, stepson Stephen, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at noon in the Parish Hall at Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church, 553 Galleon Dr, Naples, FL  34102. Intermenoyale, 6790 Vanderbilt Beach Rd, Naples, FL  34119.
