Last month, the BBC dedicated a night at the Proms to Nick Drake’s (C1 1962-66) music. Titled ‘An Orchestral Celebration’, conductor Jules Buckley brought together a selection of artists for a unique celebration of his songs at the Royal Albert Hall.

Fifty years on from his death at just aged 26, the singer-songwriter has found a new cross-generational audience and a widely recognised status.
