Starting on September 25th, Alex Backhouse (LI 2005-10) will be taking on the epic challenge of running from Land’s End to London —a total distance of 700 km over 12 days in support of Retina UK.

The charity is dedicated to funding research into inherited retinal diseases and providing essential support to those affected. This challenge is incredibly personal to Alex, as three generations of his family are affected by retinitis pigmentosa, a genetic disorder that causes progressive vision loss. This endeavour not only represents a significant physical challenge but also symbolises his commitment to supporting those living with inherited sight loss.
