A Lifeline on Wheels: Florence’s journey to deliver lifesaving ambulances and medical aid to Ukraine
Florence Dowley (NC 2008-13), along with 5 others, will be driving 3 lifesaving and medical aid filled ambulances directly to Ukraine. Setting off on 19th November, the route will start in Central London and travel through East Germany, Poland and into Ukraine. In total, the journey will take ¾ days requiring 10 hours of driving per day.
The team undertake the mission through the wonderful auspices of the charity Medical Lifelines Ukraine who have already successfully delivered 38 ambulances, 19 generators and 1 all-terrain resect crane across Ukraine over the last few months.
To meet the charity objectives, Florence and the team must raise a total of £42,000 to buy the three refurbished ambulances. You can support Florence here by donating to the Norfolk Convoy Team.
