749 Lecture

The Lecture will be given by OM, Richard Villar (PR 1966-71), and is entitled ‘Winged Scalpel: A Surgeon at the Frontline of Disaster’

A former Cambridge-based orthopaedic surgeon, Richard was previously the Regimental Medical Officer to the SAS and a Team Leader for the UK’s Disaster Response for more than a decade. His experiences in the world’s conflict and disaster zones are almost unrivalled and he has operated on patients in more than thirty countries.

Richard will talk about some of his experiences during his lecture. His message is both serious and humorous, always educational, and immensely motivational.
