Marlburian Monday – 17th October 22 – Lebby Eyres (C2 1987-89) ‘My Oar-Some Adventure: Rowing Across the Atlantic’

We now have a date for the rescheduled Marlburian Monday by Lebby Eyres (C2 1987-89), The talk, entitled ‘My Oar-Some Adventure: Rowing Across the Atlantic’ will now be given at 8pm on Monday 17th October.

Lebby recently rowed across the Atlantic as part of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. Her crew of midlife mums – named The Mothership – finished the race in 40 days, 11 hours and 25 minutes, beating some of the men’s crews and all of the mixed fours. As well as explaining what crossing an ocean entails – from shift patterns to personal hygiene – and the challenges involved, Lebby will discuss what she learned in those 40 days and how she is applying those lessons in everyday life.
