Charlie Corbett’s 12 birds to Save Your Life gets longlisted for the 2022 Wainwright Prize

Charlie Corbett (C1 1990-95), has been longlisted for the 2022 Wainwright Prize for his book 12 birds to Save Your Life. Named after Alfred Wainwright, the prizes are awarded to work which best reflects his core values.

Following the tragic loss of his mother, Charlie Corbett had lost all hope and perspective and took to the countryside in search of solace. After hearing the soaring, joyous sound of the skylark, this pulled him back into the natural world and allowed him to discover the healing power of nature.

The shortlist will be announced 28th July and can be found here: Home – Wainwright Prize. The Marlburian Club wishes Charlie the very best of luck.
