Event Review: Club Day 2020

Our first ever Virtual Club Day on Monday October 12th 2020 was a huge success.

Attendees were shown a video message from President, Richard Pembroke (B1 1985-90) sharing the highlights of the last year, along with messages from Louise Moelwyn Hughes, Master (2018-) and Alan Stevens, Master MCM  (2017-).

The main focus of the evening was thought provoking and thoroughly informative live panel discussion on the topic of ‘Work Life after Covid’ chaired by Catherine Stewart (LI 1974-76). The panellists were James Reed (Current Parent) Chairman of Reed Recruitment, Polly Rathbone (EL 1991-96) Founder of Rathbone HR Solutions, Jeremy Cohen (BH 1986-90) SVP Consulting at Geometry, Karen Hill (B2/MM 1988-90) HR Manager at Health and Case Management.

The evening was concluded by the essential business of the AGM where the new President and Chair were elected and accounts approved.

We would like to thank Richard Pembroke, the outgoing president, for his incredible contribution to the Club in a very difficult year, Chris Carpmael (C1 1980-84) for his input into the Club for the last six years, especially all the work with the Professional Groups and we look forward to our year with Catherine Stewart at the helm and the seamless transition as Karen Hill takes over as Chair.

The evening was recorded and can be watched via the link below.
