
Letter from New Zealand – Dr Julian Fuller (B3 1964-68)
Today’s “letter” takes a slightly different format today as it comes in the shape of an interview with Julian Fuller (B3 1964-68)
Julian is a practicing Anaesthetist in Auckland, NZ, working at the North Shore Hospital, one of 3 major hospitals in the city.
He is also Vice President of the New Zealand Association for Hospital Specialists, (the ASMS), a similar body to the British Medical Association (BMA).
Julian is married, and has a son playing County Cricket for Hampshire, and a daughter who is a teacher.
Julian has sailed around the World and Cape Horn twice, winning the prestigious Whitbread/Volvo race on Flyer in 1982. He recently returned from a sailing/photography trip to Greenland, where he and 9 others climbed glaciers and mountains, and sea kayaked amongst ice floes.
