Support for Isolated OMs
We’ve been sent the following email from Bill Grimke-Drayton (CO 1961-65)
“I currently live in the Philippines and, like everyone else here over the age of 65, am self-isolating according to a presidential directive which is mandating a 24-hour curfew to last for an indefinite period of time. I was hoping to come over to the UK for a visit, but clearly this has had to be postponed probably until next year.
I’m keeping myself occupied but would value the opportunity to be in touch with other Old Marlburians, especially those living overseas. I have Skype and WhatsApp. I am 8 hours ahead of UK time. I think it is very important that we help and encourage each other in these extraordinarily unprecedented times of hardship. Even being just a listening ear is valuable.”
Please email marlburianclub@marlboroughcollege.org if you would like to get in touch with him and we will share his contact details with you.
If you are feeling isolated and would like to be put in contact with others or would like to offer to help, please do get in touch. Alternatively you can post on MC Global Connect directly. If you like, you can just share your Words With Friends (online Scrabble game) profile or any other online gaming account and we’ll compile a list of you all!
