OMs Helping their Communities
We wanted to share some of the brilliant and positive things members of the OM and College community are undertaking throughout this period.
Peter Walters (PR 1968-73) has translated the templates on the Coronavirus Support Group UK website into Spanish, and will be circulating them in his neighbouring tower-blocks his part of Medellín, Colombia.
Fiona Adriazola (NC 1992-97) has set up a network of volunteers in her village to support the vulnerable people in her community.
Charlie Cannon (C2 1990-95) is a motivational speaker and has been sharing mental health and resilience videos on his Facebook page. No links yet but I’m hoping to get him to share them with us soon.
Through his company Tete-a-Tete opera, Bill Bankes-Jones (TU 1976-80) has created the fabulous #coronachorus on Twitter.
College staff donated surplus food to local charities and care homes on Friday morning, after the College’s move to an online learning environment.
Ed Tolputt (Deputy Head Academic) has been sharing Eight lectures in Eight nights. There are four left to do and we will be sharing the Zoom links on our Facebook and Twitter channels each day.
Hattie Briggs (MM 2006-11) will be live streaming a busking session on Facebook on Wednesday 25th at 6pm. Tune in on her Facebook page.
