As the previous president of the Society, David Coe (B1 1949-52), said, “the OMGS is not just for the expert low handicapped player, we cater for all levels of ability and are a very friendly club within a club. … Too often I have come across OMs of all ages who felt that their golf was not good enough to join this society. This is nonsense. Yes we like to praise our top teams and maybe talk too much about their achievements but this is only part of the whole and there are matches for all levels of ability.”
