COVID-19 pandemic – Update from the College and the Marlburian Club
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are sharing an update on both the College and our Marlburian Club activity.
Marlborough College
From today (Wednesday 18th March) the College will be moving to a “virtual school” environment. The College will continue to deliver its timetabled academic lessons, pastoral support and co-curricular provision to pupils remotely, utilising a number of online platforms and delivery methods. The College has no confirmed case of COVID-19 and the campus will not be closed.
Marlburian Club
We have a number of events scheduled over the coming months and we are considering each one in turn. If you are currently registered for any event you will receive an email or phone call to let you know if it is cancelled. Please also continue to monitor the website for updates, where you can also find a frequently asked questions page.
You can still contact all the members of the Marlburian Club team as normal via phone or email. Please do stay in touch with us and continue to let us know your news. And don’t forget you can stay in touch with the whole Marlburian community virtually through MC Global Connect. If you have not signed up yet, you can register here.
Coronavirus Support Group UK
We earlier shared information on our website and social media about a new nationwide support group set up by an OM. James Johnstone (C1 1977-80) has set up the Coronavirus Support Group UK to help communities support each other during the COVID-19 outbreak and it has received national press coverage.
Finally we would be interested in any innovative alumni initiatives that we might be able to put into place during this difficult time. If you have any ideas, please contact Kate via kgoodwin@marlboroughcollege.org.
So it is business as usual as far as possible and we hope that the Club can continue to provide a sense of community during this unsettling time.
