Welcome to Jackie Jordan, Director of Marketing and Communications
Welcome to Jackie Jordan, who joined Marlborough College as Director of Marketing and Communications in November.
She says, “I am delighted to have joined Marlborough College in the new role of Director of Marketing and Communications. The College has such great stories to tell and has so many new people that it can connect with and I am very much looking forward to helping the College on that journey.
I was educated at Beaconsfield High School and Queens’ College, Cambridge where I gained a First in History and was awarded a Foundation Scholarship. I represented the university in three varsity fencing matches, including two as ladies’ captain. A career as a marketing and communications professional followed. Most of my career has been in major blue chip consumer goods companies such as Diageo, Tetley Tea, Gillette and Mattel.
I have also worked as an independent brand consultant, most notably for Nationwide Building Society and for the last 5 years I have been leading the communications and supporter development functions at the National Trust. I have held a number of Board positions, including Business Unit Director for Gillette UK, Regional Director Marketing for Mattel EMEA and Executive Director for Brand, Marketing and Supporter Development at the National Trust.
I am a Trustee of the Clergy Support Trust, a benevolent charity supporting clergy and their families, and I chair my local Parish Council. I live near Marlborough with my husband and two children and in my spare time I enjoy family life, watching cricket, choral singing and collecting antiques and art deco ceramics.”
