OM Networking Event – Cyber Security & Incident Management
Marlburian Club Cyber Security Event
Thursday 5th December
Dell SecureWorks, London
A presentation and discussion of Cyber Security – Incident Management will take place at Dell SecureWorks on Thursday 5th December at 6.30pm.
What do you do when your organisation is under attack from hackers and a breach is detected? With the introduction of GDPR regulation in May 2018 there now is the threat of large fines on top of reputational damage for unprepared organisations. In 2019, the centenary of GCHQ, the cyber security breaches survey found ever increasing numbers of breaches or attacks being reported by businesses and charities and their average cost had nearly doubled in two years.
Simon Godfrey (C3 1984-88) of Dell SecureWorks will share war stories, insights and best practices for preparing for, and responding to security incidents.
Dell SecureWorks provides a comprehensive range of Incident Response and Management capabilities to ensure that, when an incident does occur, your organisation experiences minimal loss and disruption. We will hear from Expert Incident Management Consultants who help customers prepare for, manage, respond to, and recover from incidents quickly and effectively.
Cyber security involves us all and this event is open to all OMs, those who work in this specific field as well those who are curious or have specific questions about their own businesses/personal information online.
The event will also be an excellent opportunity to meet, network and socialise with fellow OMs. The evening will run from 6.30pm – 8.30pm and the cost of the event will be £15.
If you would like to attend, please book by clicking the ‘Book Now’ button to register and pay online. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
We very much want this event to be interactive and we would like to give you the opportunity to ask questions and share your own experiences of cyber security. If you have something you would like to share, please email us or join the group discussion on MCGlobalConnect.
